DEC Announces Temporary Closure of Rock City Forest Road
Closure to Support Road Rehabilitation
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced the temporary closure of Little Rock City Forest Road at Rock City State Forest in Cattaraugus County.
Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 12, the road will be closed to accommodate an ongoing maintenance project to rehabilitate Little Rock City Forest Road. During the project, contractors will re-grade, shape, and install fresh gravel to restore and improve Little Rock City Forest Road. The road is expected to remain closed for three weeks during the rehabilitation work. Little Rock City Day Use Area will remain open throughout the project but will only be accessible from foot and bike trails.
DEC also encourages visitors to consider accessing other state properties across Western New York, including:
