Sign Up Online to Receive Seven Issues for $6 - 50 Percent Savings
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) today announced a special holiday offer that will allow people who love the environment and outdoors to obtain a one-year subscription to DEC's award-winning Conservationist Magazine. Through Dec. 31, subscribers will receive seven issues for $6.
For more than 75 years, the Conservationist has been a timeless and inexpensive way for readers to connect to the natural world. People of all ages enjoy the magazine's breathtaking photo essays and informative articles about everything from bears, bats, and bird species to great sites for hiking, paddling, and exploring New York's world-class outdoor destinations. As part of their magazine subscription, subscribers also receive Conservationist for Kids - a pullout specifically designed for young readers - three times a year at no additional cost, as well as access to both print and digital versions of the magazine.
The magazine includes regular features such as "On Patrol," highlighting the important work DEC Forest Rangers and Environmental Conservation Police Officers (ECOs) do every day to protect the environment, rescue lost or injured people in the woods, and enforce New York's stringent environmental conservation laws. Other features, including "Briefly," "Back Trails" essays, and the popular "Letters" section, provide personal perspectives on outdoor observations and connections.
To subscribe to the Conservationist, go to the Conservationist Subscription website (leaves DEC website).
