Minnewaska State Park Preserve

Minnewaska hosts more than 200 species of migratory and nesting birds. A Bird Conservation Area, Minnewaska is a great place to view a wide variety of raptors and high-elevation forest and shrubland birds, among other wildlife. The area also has one of the best examples of ridgetop dwarf pine barrens in the world. Among the many species of plants and animals that live here, nearly 40 are rare.
