Piermont Marsh
Piermont, Rockland County
Piermont Marsh is the southernmost site within the Hudson River Research Reserve on the western shore of the Tappan Zee, where the Hudson River is widest. Most of the marsh is within the boundaries of Tallman Mountain State Park. Bird life is the star attraction, and habitats here include brackish tidal marsh, shallow open water areas and intertidal mudflats.
