Blue Lake

Blue Lake

Blue Lake, also called Sterling Forest Lake, is located inside Sterling Forest State Park (leaves DEC website). Blue Lake has a nice boat launch and provides anglers with a good opportunity at catching some fish.

Elevation: 650 feet
Area: 115 acres
Shoreline Length: 2.3 miles
Max Depth: 26 feet
County & Town: Orange County, Town of Tuxedo

Access:

Provided by Palisades Interstate Park Commission (PIPC). Located off of Blue Lake Rd. Both a PIPC and Sterling Forest boat permit are required. No gas motors. For more information, call 845-351-5907.

Fish Species:

Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel and Panfish.

Regulations:

Statewide Fishing Regulations Apply.

Fisheries Management:

Blue Lake is stocked annually with 800 yearling Brown Trout, 100 two-year-old Brown Trout and 800 yearling Rainbow Trout.
