Mohansic Lake

This 108 acre lake located in Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park provides anglers with a chance of catching a lot of fish. Mohansic provides anglers opportunities to fish from shore, rowboat and has rowboat rentals.

Access:

There is a state-owned boat launch off Rte 202 in Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park with parking for 20 cars; there is a permit required, and there are no gas motors allowed on the lake. Universally accessible. View the Mohansic Lake Contour Map (PDF).

Fish Species:

Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, and Panfish.

Fishing:

Mohansic has an abundant population of sunfish that provide a lot of action when taking a kid fishing. Look for largemouth bass around the lily pads; try fishing with a weedless frog or plastic worm.
