Boyd Corners Reservoir

Boyd Corners Reservoir is located along Route 301 which makes for easy access.

Elevation: 581 feet
Area: 378 acres
Shoreline Length: 5.2 miles
Max Depth: 40 feet
Town: Kent

Access:

Access is provided by the New York City DEP. A free NYC DEP watershed access permit is required. Rowboats must be approved and registered by the NYC DEP. Contact the DEP using the link under "Links Leaving DEC's Website" in the right hand column.

Fish Species:

Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Black Crappie, Walleye and Sunfish.

This NYC reservoir provides anglers with good bass and panfishing with the occassional walleye being caught. For catching bass try using tube jigs and crankbaits fished along the rocks. When targeting panfish try using a small bright colored jighead tipped with a nightcrawler or minnow.
