Canopus Lake

Canopus Lake, located right off of Route 301, offers very easy access and good fishing opportunities. Boat rentals are available through Fahnestock State Park. Ice fishing is also allowed. There are trails around the perimeter of the lake which is great for anglers fishing from the shore.

Access:

Hand launch is located at Clarence Fahnestock State Park. Off route 301, 9 miles east of Village of Cold Springs. Parking for 10 cars. Electric Motors Only. Permit required, available from park manager.
