Morningside Lake is a good fishery with easy access. Morningside is a shallow weedy lake that is popular for anglers fishing from a small boat and when targeting fish through the ice.

Area: 130 acres
Shoreline Length: 2.3 miles
Max Depth: 12 feet
Mean Depth: 4 feet
Town: Fallsburg

Access:

Carry down access provided by the Town of Fallsburg located on the south shore off of Rte. 52.

Fish Species:

Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Bluegill, Black Crappie and Pumpkin Seed.

Fishing:

When fishing for largemouth bass try fishing with a topwater frog in the morning and then try a weedless plastic worm in the weedbeds in the afternoon. For panfish try a small jig tipped with a nightcrawler or meal worm.
