Lake Superior

Lake Superior State Park has a beach, picnic areas and offers some good fishing.

Shoreline Length: 2.6 miles
County & Town: Sullivan County, Town of Bethel

Access:

On Dr. Duggan Road, 1.5 miles south of the Hamlet of Bethel. Hand Launch. Electric Motors Only. Fee/permit required. (845) 794-3000 ext. 5002. 120 cars. View the Lake Superior Contour Map (PDF).

Fish Species:

Largemouth Bass, Chain Pickerel, Brown Bullhead, Pumpkinseed, Bluegill, Black Crappie and Yellow Perch

Fishing:

When targeting largemouth bass, try rubber worms and topwater baits fished in the shallow weed beds. Anglers report catching panfish on small jigs and live bait.
