Swan Lake, Patchogue

Swan Lake, Patchogue, or East Lake is located in East Patchogue just north of Montauk Highway and south of Sunrise Highway (Route 27). The lake is bordered by Lake Avenue on the east and Phyllis Drive on the west.

Physical Features:

Area: 30 acres
Maximum depth: 7 feet

Access:

Shoreline access is available on the south end of lake.

Directions: From Sunrise Hwy take route 112 south to Montauk Highway. Make a left and travel east. Swan Lake will be on your left just before South Country Road.

Restrictions: Hand launched boats are allowed; shoreline access is available but limited. There is no formally designated parking for lake users.

Fish Species:

Naturally reproducing - Largemouth Bass, Pumpkinseed, Yellow Perch, Brown Bullhead

Stocked - Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout

Fishing:

Swan Lake is one the few lakes on Long Island that provide year round trout habitat. Trout stocked by the DEC hold over and grow. Swan Lake is also home to a several warmwater species.
