Directions: Grant Park Pond is located in a Nassau County Park south of Sunrise Highway in Hewlett. Take Sunrise Hwy. to Peninsula Blvd. south. Then make a left onto Prospect Ave. and follow signs to park.
Restrictions: Boats are prohibited. Shoreline access is available, but part of the shoreline is restricted, so please respect the posted signs.

Fishing:
Grant Park Pond has a surprisingly good bass population and is worth the trip for local anglers.
Half the pond is closed to fishing; helping to maintain the quality of the bass fishery. Sunfish and carp also offer good action. The pond suffers from intense algae blooms, mostly during the summer, which can impact fishing quality.
