Hessian Lake, located in Bear Mountain State Park, provides anglers the opportunity to catch some nice sized brown trout, along with largemouth bass and panfish. Annually, 800 yearling and 100 two-year-old brown trout are stocked in the lake. Access to this lake is plentiful, and a walking trail surrounds the lake.
