New York Seafood Industry Roundtable Meetings

On July 31, 2018, a bill was signed, sponsored by Senator Kenneth P. LaValle and Assemblyman Fred Thiele, directing the Department of Agriculture and Markets (AGM), the Department of Economic Development (ESD), the Department of State (DOS), and the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) to conduct a series of roundtable meetings to discuss and consider issues relating to New York's seafood industry.

Meeting Dates and Locations

Four meetings were hosted in the Marine and Coastal District in August and October 2018. Two meetings were held on Long Island, one in New York City, and one in the Hudson Valley Region. All meetings were open to the public.
