This popular swimming area is located on the southern shore of Lake George. Also known as "Million Dollar Beach", it is within walking distance of the village of Lake George and DEC's Lake George Battleground Campground and Lake George Battlefield Day Use Area.
The entrance road and parking lots are paved with porous asphalt and modern stormwater management infrastructure to protect Lake George's water quality by decreasing the amount of sedimentation, and the pollutants attached to them, from entering the lake. The porous asphalt requires less salt and sand to keep the road safe during winter weather and significantly decreases the frequency and depth of flooding of the road and parking lots.
Amenities
