Spring Boarding Dock Installation

To ensure the safety of our staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, the installation of some boarding docks at DEC boat launch sites may be delayed. Before heading out, boaters are encouraged to contact DEC's Regional Offices for the most current information.

Here is the current schedule for the installation of boarding docks at DEC boat launches. A concerted effort is made annually by DEC regional Operations staff to get docks installed at all sites prior to the opening day for various sportfish species. Schedules are tentative; however, and can change based on water levels, weather and ice conditions. Most sites are open for public use even if the boarding dock is not installed.
