Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex - Unit Management Plan

The Mount Van Hoevenberg Olympic Sports Complex is located in the Town of North Elba, Essex County, approximately seven miles southeast of the Village of Lake Placid. The area is classified as Intensive Use pursuant to the Adirondack Park State Land Master Plan. The Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA) provides facility management under a Memorandum of Understanding between ORDA and the Department.

Status of the UMP

The Department and ORDA adopted a Unit Management Plan (UMP) for the Mount Van Hoevenberg Intensive Use Area in 1986. If you have questions about the UMP, please contact us at adirondack.park@dec.ny.gov.
