Negative Declaration
Seneca County - The Village and Town of Waterloo, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Sewer Improvements and Village Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Upgrades will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves televising approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing sewer, performing spot repairs to protruding taps, and broken sewer pipes In the collection system, replacement of sewer under a railroad crossing, relining approximately 12,500 linear foot of existing 6, 8, and 10 inch sewer, rehabilitating (grout, mortar, lining, etc.) between 25 and 30 existing manholes (In Village and NYS Routes 5 and 20) and replacement of wet well at three (3) Pump Stations with new piping along Town sewer along NYS Routes 5 and 20. Storm sewer network improvements include: Installing 2,000 linear foot of 8 inch storm sewer parallel lo the existing sanitary sewer along Center Street, disconnecting 7 existing cross-connections between the storm and sanitary networks along this reach. and connecting the new storm sewer to the existing storm sewer at West Wright Avenue. Project also includes WWTP improvements including: replacement of a hydraulic channel grinder, replacing the Influent screen and associated equipment, rehabilitating and/or replacing the existing grit system, constructing a flusher truck decant receiving station, and replacement of a trickling filter distributor bearing. The project is located at various locations in the Village and Town of Waterloo, New York.
