ENB Region 4 Notices 7/20/2022
Negative Declaration
Columbia County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Olana State Historic Site - Frederic Church Center will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to construction a new visitor welcome center at the Olana State Historic Site. The project consists of a new 4,750 square foot, single story building surrounded by new landscaping and parking areas within the southwest portion of the property. The new welcome center would serve as the primary point of contact for visitor information at the Olana State Historic Site proximate to the entrance of the property. The new welcome center would improve upon the location, layout and programmatic deficiencies of the existing visitor center. The Proposed Action also includes associated stormwater management facilities, a dry hydrant with pipe to the existing lake, and a wastewater disposal area adjacent to the welcome center. An area for a reserve wastewater disposal system and associated piping has been allocated on NYS OPRHP property located on the west NYS Route 9G. Landscaping and stormwater management are included.
The project is located at 5720 NYS Route 9G in Hudson, Town of Greenport, New York.
