Project Description:

The Department has prepared a draft permit and has made a tentative determination, subject to public comment or other information, to reauthorize an existing discharge of 45,000 gallons per day (GPD) of treated sanitary wastewater to an unnamed tributary of the Delaware River, a Class B waterbody, from a tertiary treatment plant at the applicant's facility address located at 430 White Road, in the Town of Lumberland, Sullivan County for a full five year permit term. The facility is an overnight summer camp.

Requests for a legislative (public statement) hearing must be sent in writing to the DEC contact person below by the comment deadline. The Department assesses such requests pursuant to 6 NYCRR Section 621.8. Refer to this application by the application number listed above and SPDES Number NY0035271.

The Department has prepared a draft permit and has made a tentative determination, subject to public comment or other information, to approve the requested reauthorization of an existing discharge of 45,600 gallons per day (GPD) of treated sanitary wastewater to Esopus Lake (AKA Upper Esopus Pond), NYS Waters Index # H-128-2-P434, a class B waterbody, from a secondary treatment plant at the applicant's facility address located at 557 Broadway, Port Ewen, NY. The facility is a 290 bedroom apartment complex. The draft permit includes reduction in the design flow from 45,600 GPD to 34,000 GPD upon completion of the treatment plant upgrade in accordance with the proposed schedule of compliance.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes disturbances to DEC Freshwater Wetland F-26 (Class II) and its 100-foot adjacent area associated with widening an existing driveway. The proposal involves widening 420 linear feet of driveway from 14 feet to 16 feet, and would include 625 square feet of new impervious area. The proposal will also involve 70 cubic yards of material to be excavated, which will be repurposed for the project.
