Negative Declaration

Ulster County - The Village of New Paltz Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Manheim Mews LLC Site Plan and Subdivision Application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an application for site plan and subdivision approval to re-subdivide 3 parcels in the R-2 (Residence) district into 2 lots as follows: a 0.29 acre residential lot that will contain an existing single-family dwelling on Hasbrouck Place and a 2.83 acre lot currently containing an office building that will be demolished and a new senior citizen residential development constructed, a 2.5 story, 51 unit building with associated driveway, parking lot, landscaping, lighting, etc. The project is located in the Village of New Paltz, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Putnam County - The Town of Southeast Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed ProSwing-Pugsley (Brewster Yards). A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on August 8. 2022 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Southeast Town Offices, 1360 Route 22, Brewster, NY, 10509. Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until August 26, 2022 or 10 days following the close of the hearing. The action involves a proposal by the applicant, ProSwing Sports Realty, Inc., to construct a commercial recreation complex to include a 34,855 square foot recreation building, various smaller concession/restroom and maintenance buildings of 3,600 square foot or less each, nine synthetic turf fenced and lighted baseball fields with amenities, one synthetic turf multi-sport field, and associated utilities including two or more wells, a septic system, and stormwater management areas (Project) on a 82 ± acre property (Project Site) within the RC Zoning District in the Town of Southeast.

A portion of the Project Site is located within the Ridgeline Overlay District. As part of the Project, a portion of Barrett Road/Zimmer Road on the east side of Pugsley Road would be widened, all of which are Town owned roads. As part of the Project, existing parcels Lot 10 and Lot 11 would be subdivided to reduce the overall lot size from 153.5 acres to 81.8 acres. Lot 10 would be reduced in size from 93 acres to 66.2 acres and Lot 11 would be reduced from 60.5 acres to 15.6 acres. The balance of the land would be retained by the Town. The Project would disturb approximately 46.6 acres, including 5.1 acres of Town of Southeast wetland buffer/controlled area.

The project is located at 132 and 160 Pugsley Road in the Town of Southeast, New York.

Notice of Acceptance of Final EIS

Rockland County - The Village of Chestnut Ridge Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Adoption of the 2022 Comprehensive Plan and Implementing Local Law A v.6 of 2022. The Final EIS is available from the contact listed below and on line at: https://chestnutridgevillage.org/comprehensive-plan/.

The action involves the adoption of the first Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Chestnut Ridge. The Plan proposes a comprehensive land use framework and lays out transportation recommendations for the orderly development for the Village. Long standing zoning problems are analyzed and adjustments to the current zoning map are proposed to eliminate nonconforming uses. Changes are recommended to promote the development of employment opportunities and additional housing types other than single-family homes. The Plan focuses development density on areas in the Red Schoolhouse Road corridor near the Garden State Parkway interchange, with transportation improvements funded by new development. The project is located throughout the Village of Chestnut Ridge, New York.
