Project Description:
The applicant has applied for a permit for the continued withdrawal of up to 378,000 gallons per day of water for the purpose of operating an existing wash plant. Water will continue to be pumped from the on-site source pond to an on-site settling pond, with no changes in current operations proposed. A draft permit is available for review. The Department is seeking public comment prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes to install large rock riprap toe protection immediately in front of an existing rock riprap breakwall, encompassing a total of 100 linear feet of Chautauqua Lake shoreline. A silt curtain will be installed around the work area to prevent turbid waters from entering Chautauqua Lake. Approximately 22 cubic yards of lakebed material will be excavated for toe placement, stockpiled and utilized on-site. The project is located at the facility address listed above. The Department is seeking public comment on the application prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.
