New Permit Hearing Notices for January 12, 2022: One
Danskammer Energy LLC - Applicant, Danskammer Energy LLC (Danskammer) applied to New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) for an ECL Article 19 Air Title V permit for Danskammer's proposed construction of a new natural gas fired combined cycle power generation facility. NYS DEC issued a notice of complete application on June 30, 2021 and conducted public comment hearings on August 23 and 25, 2021. On October 27, 2021, NYS DEC issued a notice of denial of the Title V permit application pursuant to title 6 of the Official Compilation of Codes, Rules and Regulations of the State of New York (6 NYCRR) 621.10(f). Danskammer submitted a request for hearing on NYS DEC's denial dated November 23, 2021. The proposed project is located at 994 River Road, Newburg, New York.
A legislative public comment hearing pursuant to 6 NYCRR part 624 to hear and receive unsworn comments from the public will be held on February 15, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. The hearing is being conducted electronically through the Webex Events electronic webinar platform.
A pre-adjudicatory issues conference will be conducted electronically through the Webex Events electronic webinar platform. The conference will begin at 10:00 a.m. on March 16, 2022.
Written comments concerning the permit must be postmarked by February 22, 2022. Written comments emailed must be received by 5:00 p.m. on February 22, 2022.
All petitions requesting party status to participate at an adjudicatory hearing must be received at NYS DEC's Office of Hearings and Mediation Services no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 23, 2022.
A statement of issues from Danskammer must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on February 23, 2022. Responses to petitions and Danskammer's statement of issues may be submitted by NYS DEC staff and Danskammer no later than 5:00 p.m. on March 10, 2022.
