Clean topsoil will be added to level approximately 40,000 SF of practice fields, about 8,500 SF of which is within the regulated NYS freshwater wetland 100 ft. adjacent area. The area will be reseeded with grass.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Evaluation using a Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form or other information has concluded that the proposed activity will not impact registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes disturbance to Freshwater Wetland LC-18 (Class I) and its 100-foot adjacent area associated with a culvert replacement/existing road (Barrett Road) widening, new circulation roads, and well accessways for a proposed distribution center warehouse building. The proposal would disturb 2,111 square feet (0.05 acres) of wetland, and a total of 45,161 square feet (1.04 acres) of adjacent area. The applicant proposes 1.54 acres of wetland creation as part of the overall distribution center project.

The proposed warehouse building would include a wastewater discharge to groundwater from an on-site septic system, of up to 3,990 gallons per day. This groundwater discharge is eligible for coverage under DEC General Permit GP-0-15-001, Groundwater Discharge of Sanitary Sewage.
