Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The Ripley Central School District, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Capital Improvements Project, 2021 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a Capital Improvements Project, 2021 which includes renovations and upgrades at the District's school and campus. Proposed building upgrades at the school include relocating the Main Office and District Office to accommodate a secure entrance and upgrading restrooms with ADA-accessibility improvements. Other proposed upgrades include a new roof on a large portion of the building, HVAC upgrades including new unit ventilators in the south wing and various rooftop units, and miscellaneous improvements. Proposed site work includes a tennis court, play court, and basketball court in an existing deteriorated hard surface play area, and a parking area along the east side of Ross Street adjacent to this play area. If the budget allows after receiving construction bids or if other items are identified, other similar renovations, upgrades, or limited site work could be undertaken. The project is located in the Ripley Central School District, 12 North State Street in the Town of Ripley, New York.
