Project Description:

Repair of three culvert system carrying Atwood Lake Road over Jones Creek in the Town of Ohio, Herkimer County. Project will slip line three culverts. Total of 90 linear feet of stream bed and banks will be impacted by the project. Placement of 180 cubic yards of stone fill below mean high-water mark of Jones Creek to act as scour protection. Baffles will be placed within each culvert to improve upstream aquatic life passage.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt and/or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Maintenance dredging of approximately 160 cubic yards of material from either side of an existing 52' crib dock. The area to be dredged is 82' wide and approximately 50' long. The dredging depth will vary, but the maximum depth will be approximately 1.25'.
