Negative Declaration
Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Utility Pole Replacement and Wireless Communication Facility will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by NYS OPRHP to grant a permit to Extenet Systems for the replacement of two existing wooden utility poles in Hither Hills State Park and installation of wireless communication facilities on them. The replacement poles will be 39 foot above ground level to meet current standards which is approximately 15 foot higher than the existing poles. Proposed Node 7 will be located on the south side of Montauk Highway in the western end of the park and will include two panel antennas top-mounted to the pole with support equipment to be located lower on the pole. Proposed Node 8 will be located on the south side of Old Montauk Highway across from Cemetery Road and will include three panel antennas top-mounted to the pole with support equipment to be located lower on the pole. The project is located in the Hither Hills State Park in the Town of East Hampton, New York.
