New York State Department of Transportation Announces Public Review Period for Draft Annual Report on Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems pursuant to GP-0-15-003.

This notice announces the availability of a Draft Annual Report by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYS DOT), pursuant to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s), GP-0-15-003. The Draft Annual Report documents the NYS DOT's Stormwater Management Program for the Reporting Period of March 10, 2020 to March 9, 2021.

The NYS DOT is making this draft document available for public comment for a period ending May 14, 2021. Interested parties may provide their comments to the NYS DOT via mail or e-mail to be considered in finalizing the document.

Background: The SPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (MS4s), GP-0-15-003, requires that agencies or municipalities identified as Regulated Small MS4s must develop a Stormwater Management Program to address six Minimum Control Measures. This public notice serves to comply with the NYS DOT's Minimum Control Measure, "Public Involvement/Participation".

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Notice of Complete Application

The NYS DEC Giant Hogweed Program has applied for reissuance of a General Permit, GP-0-21-001, under Article 24 Freshwater Wetlands, to use a post-emergent herbicide, manual root cutting, flower head removal, or hot water (Heatweed technology) to eradicate Giant Hogweed. The permit will authorize work occurring in NYS DEC Regions 7, 8, 9 and Lewis and Oneida counties in NYS DEC Region 6.

Environmental Quality Review:

This Unlisted Action will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. No Lead Agency has been designated.

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing no later than 04/29/2021 or 15 days after the publication date of this notice, whichever is later, to the contact listed below.
