Project Description:

The Department proposes to modify the permit for an existing facility that discharges treated sanitary wastewater to groundwater, and garage floor drains though an oil/water separator to a stormwater retention pond (class D). The modification would extend compliance dates, including the final compliance date meet effluent limits to October 1, 2021. The modification also includes minor corrections and language changes, and due dates for monitoring reports to be calendar quarters.

Requests for a legislative (public statement) hearing must be sent in writing to the DEC contact person below by the comment deadline. The Department assesses such requests pursuant to 6 NYCRR Section 621.8.

Project Description:

The applicant proposes a discharge of stormwater from construction activities to surface water for maintenance/ replacement of their existing transmission lines in the Towns of Crown Point, Dresden, Moriah, Putnam, Ticonderoga, Whitehall. Due to the anticipated disturbance of soils in Class A/AA water sheds and slope phase D, E, and F areas, the project does not qualify for the Department's Construction Stormwater General permit. A stormwater pollution prevention plan has been created to help control stormwater runoff during construction activities.
