Oswego County - The Port of Oswego, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Restoration of Global Dry Dock will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal to provide a community docking area for approximately 25 boats, in lieu of the earthen dock, which has been eroded due to high water in Lake Ontario. The dock would be used in conjunction with the port-owned H.L. White Museum for boating. With the docks located close to downtown, this project will help support the local tourism industry for those looking to access downtown Oswego. The project will require excavating within the existing harbor. The impact below the OWHM is approximately 190 foot long by 71 foot totaling 13,503 square foot (0.31 acres). The project will excavate 355.59 cubic yard (993.16 square foot) (0.02 acres) of sediment and 4377.40 cubic yard (12,446.61 square foot) (0.29 acres) of rock from within the existing docking area. The project is located at 1 Lake Street in Oswego, New York.
