Project Description:

The applicant is proposing to install approximately 12,000 feet of new gas main along NYS Route 414 in the Town of Hornby. The proposed gas main will be installed entirely within the NYS Department of Transportation Right-of-Way (ROW). Approximately 508 feet of the proposed project will traverse NYS Freshwater Wetland BF-1, along with 1,481 feet of gas main being located in the regulated wetland 100-foot adjacent area. The proposed project will result in temporary impacts of 1,524 square feet withing the wetland and 4,443 square feet of disturbance to the wetland adjacent area. All impacted areas will be restored to previous conditions upon completion of the project.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Evaluation using a Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form or other information has concluded that the proposed activity will not impact registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

DEC Commissioner Policy 29, Environmental Justice and Permitting (CP-29)

It has been determined that the proposed action is not subject to CP-29.

Project Description:

The Village of Sodus Point is proposing to stabilize approximately 290 feet of Lake Ontario shoreline and protect a sanitary sewer by installing a large armor stone rock revetment. The proposed project is located north of Wickham Boulevard and west of Lakestones Drive. The existing sanitary sewer and manhole, that are located landward of the proposed revetment, are also proposed to be realigned further back from the Lake. The abandoned manhole and piping are proposed to be filled with flowable fill. To minimize potential environmental impacts during construction, erosion and sediment controls are proposed to be installed.
