Negative Declaration

Essex County - The Town of Ticonderoga Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Solar Park Energy 17 Ticonderoga Solar Farm will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal for the installation of a 5 MW solar installation. The project is located at 1490 NYS Route 9N in the Town of Ticonderoga, New York.

Contact: Tonya Thompson, Town of Ticonderoga, 132 Montcalm Street, Ticonderoga, NY 12883, Phone: (518) 585-6677, E-mail: townclerk@townofticonderoga.org.

Saratoga County - The Saratoga County Water Authority (SCWA), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Saratoga County Water Authority Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Tank Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by SCWA to expand the existing 5 million gallon water storage tank to include an additional 5 million gallon water storage tank. The SCWA currently serves many municipalities in Saratoga County with drinking water. Increasing water demand, environmental and water quality issues, and limited resources have resulted in a greater demand by these communities for safe, economical and reliable sources of high quality drinking water. The existing water tank has reached its design capacity and additional water storage is needed.

The existing 5 million gallon storage water tank currently serves the Clifton Park Water Authority, the Village of Stillwater and the Towns of Halfmoon, Ballston, Moreau, Stillwater and Malta. In addition, the SCWA is in the process of connecting to the city of Mechanicville. As a result of the increase demand for water and the continued growth of the system, SCWA does not currently meet recommended standards and is in need of expanding the capacity of its water storage infrastructure.

The project is located at 17 Cordero Drive in the Town of Stillwater, New York.
