Negative Declaration

Chautauqua County - The Village of Sherman, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Stormwater Management Infrastructure Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the Village of Sherman for the installation of stormwater management retrofits and green infrastructure practices to minimize localized flooding and other impacts of future storm events, and to achieve ancillary benefits such as providing water quality improvement to French Creek. The project includes the following components: 1) Construction of porous pavement sidewalks, permeable asphalt parking and bioretention areas along Main Street; 2) Construction of porous pavement shoulders along Park Street near Sherman High School athletic fields; 3) Acquisition of three privately owned properties (191.8 acres in total) and construction of a stormwater detention area (approximately 7.7 acre feet of storage) adjacent to the existing Nature Center pond (Alternative 1), or within one of the parcels proposed to be purchased by the Village of Sherman (Alternative 2); 4) Construction of a stormwater detention pond providing approximately 12 acre-feet of storage north of Park Street and east of Sherman Ripley Road; and 5) Construction of a dry detention pond retrofit providing approximately 5.25 acre-feet of storage upgradient of Sherman High School. The project is located in the Village of Sherman, New York.

Erie County - The New York State Office of General Services (NYS OGS), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Walter J. Mahoney State Office Building Disposition will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by NYS OGS for the disposition of a 0.61+ acre New York State owned parcel containing a 5 story office building. Total above grade building area consists of approximately 68,924 + square foot. The project is located at 65 Court St.reet in the City of Buffalo, New York.
