Project Description:

Renewal and expansion of an expired mining permit. The applicant proposes a 15.2 acre life of mine on a 21.2 acre parcel owned by the applicant. The previously permitted mine had a 4.8 acre life of mine. Use of a portable screener is proposed. The mine would operate Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm, with no Saturday, Sunday, or legal Holiday hours. Upon termination of mining, the facility would be reclaimed to grasslands. This mine is also jurisdictional with the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) #2020-0216.

Project Description:

Applicant proposes to extend natural gas distribution line through regulated wetland and adjacent area. Horizontal directional drilling will be used to minimize wetland impacts. A total of 1.253 acres of wetland disturbance and 1.025 acres of wetland adjacent area disturbance are proposed. No permanent wetland fill is proposed.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

A cultural resources survey has been completed and cultural resources were identified. Based on information provided in the survey report, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) has determined that the proposed activity will have no adverse impact on registered or eligible archaeological sites or historic structures. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
