Project Description:

The applicant proposes to dredge an approximate 8,135 square foot area to a maximum depth of -2 feet mean low low water in an existing channel in the waterbody known as 'Dug Canal'. The resultant 689 cubic yards of material will be placed on the subject property landward of the bulkhead. The applicant also proposes to remove and replace, in-place, the existing 460 linear feet of bulkhead, construct a new four-foot-wide walkway atop the bulkhead, and construct a new 4'x155' open-grate catwalk.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: NYS Department of Environmental Conservation

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:

Cultural resource lists and maps have been checked. The proposed activity is not in an area of identified archaeological sensitivity and no known registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified or documented for the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is located in a Coastal Management area and is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment:

Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Feb 18, 2021.
