The Town of Wawarsing proposes a new water withdrawal, and a consolidated water withdrawal permit (WSA No. 12,350) will be issued in order to authorize the operation of three new water supply wells, identified as PW1 (76 gallons per minute or gpm), PW2 (167 gpm), and PW3 (168 gpm). Maximum permitted well field yield will be 243 gpm. The consolidated permit will be issued authorizing a total approved supply of 897,120 gallons per day, which also includes water supply sources for Kerhonkson Water District and Napanoch Water District.

The applicant proposes to add approximately 50 cubic yards of gravel to an existing earthen trail within the Lewisboro Town Park to create a 4-foot wide, ADA-accessible trail. The proposed action will create approximately 0.34 acres (14,800 square feet) of temporary disturbance and 0.06 acres (2,100 square feet) of permanent disturbance within the 100-foot adjacent area of NYS protected Freshwater Wetland L-20, Class 1. As part of this project, a wooden footbridge within the 100-foot adjacent area will be refurbished with new wooden planks. No disturbance to the bed or banks of the stream, Tribs of Cross River [WIN H-31-P44 35-P 109-6-12-1, Class C], is proposed with this action. The project is located at the Lewisboro Town Park on Route 35 in the Town of Lewisboro, Westchester County.
