Project Description:

The applicant is proposing to stabilize significantly eroded streambanks along approximately 1,200 linear feet of Panther Lick Creek, a protected trout stream, using methods that include rock revetments, bendway weirs, willow plantings and engineered rock riffles. The purpose of this proposal is to stabilize the eroding streambanks, improve water quality, and reduce the amount of sediments being transported downstream.

No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management:

This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Zoladz Scottsville Mulch has applied for a Part 360 Solid Waste Management Facility permit for their existing facility which is located on a 13.6 acre parcel of land leased from Valley Sand & Gravel on W River Rd in the Town of Caledonia. The facility has been in operation since 2014 and processes approximately 36,000 tons of wood waste per month, recycling it for use as landscaping mulch. Due to a recent update to the 6 NYCRR Part 360 Solid Waste Management regulations, the facility is now required to obtain a Solid Waste Management permit from the Department.

The applicant is proposing to install approximately 12,000 feet of new gas main along NYS Route 414 and Lilly Road in the Town of Hornby. The proposed gas main will be installed entirely within the NYS Department of Transportation and Town of Hornby property and Right-of-Way (ROW). Approximately 900 linear feet of the proposed project will traverse the regulated 100-foot adjacent area of NYS Freshwater Wetland BF-1, resulting in temporary impacts of 8,000 square feet to the wetland adjacent area. All impacted areas will be restored to previous conditions upon completion of the project.
