Negative Declaration

Monroe County - The Town of Sweden Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Lake Road and Redman Road Water District Improvements Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 16,280 linear foot of 12 inch watermain along Lake Road (NYS Route 19) and approximately 9,900 linear foot of 8 inch watermain along Redman Road and Country View Terrace in the Town of Sweden, New York. The total length of watermain to be installed is approximately 26,180 linear foot. The point of connections (POC) for Redman Road watermain will be at the intersection of Fourth Section Road (POC 1) and the intersection of White Road (POC 2). The POC for Lake Road will be north of the intersection of Swamp Road and will terminate at Monroe and Genesee County boundaries. Appropriate hydrants and valves will be provided as dictated by the Recommended Standards for Water Works, 2012 (Ten States Standards and regulatory agencies. The project is needed to provide public water to residents who are currently reliant on private wells, which have both water quantity and quality issues.
