Cayuga County - The Town of Sterling, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Water District #2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of approximately 120,000 linear feet of 8 inch and 10 inch water distribution mains, valves, hydrants, water storage tank and water service lines. All main line work will be in the road rights-of-way. The project is located along a portion of State Route 104A and side streets in the Town of Sterling, New York.

Cayuga County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Swallowwort Control at Fillmore Glen State Park will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. NYS OPRHP has been removing pale swallowwort (PSW) at Fillmore Glen since 2013, but a more strategic approach is now necessary to protect targeted natural areas. Chemical control is necessary to suppress the population around the entrance to the gorge to prevent spread, and manual removals will continue to target the scattered infestations within the gorge and along the rim trails. The gorge at Fillmore Glen is relatively unaffected by invasive species and is known for its diversity of native plants. The spread of PSW throughout the park would cause degradation to this habitat and likely result in a reduction in native plant diversity. Chemical treatments will be applied by a contractor. Treatment may be needed for 2 to 4 years with supplemental manual removals for isolated PSW patches. Native seeds and shrubs will be planted in areas slated for chemical treatment to stabilize these areas. The project is located in the Fillmore Glen State Park at 1686 State Route 38 in the Town of Moravia, New York.
