Negative Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Long Island Automobile Collectors will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a site plan to construct a 5,560 square foot office building (2 story) and the reconstruction of an 8,000 square foot storage building on a 7.4 acre parcel also improved with 5 storage buildings (1 to be demolished) located in the HB and R-20 Zoning Districts at 315 County Road 39 in the Hamlet of North Sea, New York.

Suffolk County - The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (NYS OPRHP), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Marine Resources Headquarters Building will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a proposal by the NYS OPRHP to construct a new facility for New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) including a building that would serve as the headquarters for their Division of Marine Resources (DMR) and grant them a license to use and occupy the premises within Nissequogue River State Park. The proposed LEED-certified Silver building will house NYS DEC’s Marine Enforcement Unit and be equipped with an FDA-certified shellfish laboratory. This facility will provide DMR with direct access to Long Island Sound, both agencies with public meeting space, new opportunities for outreach, and a year-round law enforcement presence at the Park. The project is located at the Nissequogue River State Park in Kings Park, Town of Smithtown, New York.

Positive Declaration

Suffolk County - The Town of Riverhead Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 1792 Middle Road - Breezy Hill may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a site plan application in the matter of 1792 Middle Road - Breezy Hill Group, LLC, for the establishment and operation of a Construction and Demolition (C&D) facility operating under New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) Parts 360 and 361. The project is located at 792 Middle Road in Calverton, Town of Riverhead, New York. The parcel is 6.68 acre within the Industrial A zoning use district. The site plan proposes curb cuts on Middle Road and Manor Road, outdoor stockpiles of material, and related drainage and sanitary improvements.

Notice of Acceptance of Final SEIS

Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Mount Sinai Meadows Change of Zone and Special Permit. The Final SEIS is available from the Town of Brookhaven Town Hall; the Port Jefferson Free Library; the Comsewogue Public Library and on line at: https://www.brookhavenny.gov/297/Environmental-Protection.

The action involves a change of the zoning of 96 tax lots, consisting of 30.32 acres. The change of zone request involves converting the site’s existing J-Business 2 zoning to J-Business-2 and Multi-Family zoning. The project is located on the south side of NYS Route 25A in Mt. Sinai, Town of Brookhaven, New York, approximately 0.20 miles east of the intersection of NYS Route 25A (Nesconset-Port Jefferson Road) and Crystal Brook Hollow Road.
