New Permit Hearing Notices for June 12, 2019: 1

CPV Valley, LLC - Announcement of Extension of Public Comment Period and Public Hearing - This notice serves to provide the public notification of the extension of the public comment period from July 13, 2019 until July 29, 2019.

The public is also provided notice that New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) will hold a public comment hearing on July 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.



New Rulemaking Hearing Notices for June 12, 2019: 1

Notice of Proposed Amendments to 6 NYCRR Parts 370-374, 376 of the Hazardous Waste Management Regulations – Public Comment Period, Availability of Documents, and Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is proposing to amend 6 NYCRR Parts 370-374, 376 of the Hazardous Waste Management Regulations to incorporate, as appropriate, (1) federal rules from September 30, 1999 to April 8, 2015; and (2) State-initiated changes, including clarification of language and corrections of errors found in the regulations. This rule making is referred to as FedReg5.

The Notice of Proposed Rule Making is available in the June 12, 2019 issue of the State Register. NYS DEC will accept written public comments through Monday, August 26, 2019. Additional details are provided below.

Proposed amendments to Parts 370-374, 376 and supporting rule making documents are available on NYS DEC’s web site at: http://www.dec.ny.gov/regulations/propregulations.html#public. These documents may also be inspected at NYS DEC, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY. Please call Michelle Ching for an appointment at: (518) 402-8651.

Public Hearing:

A legislative public hearing to receive public comment on the proposed amendments to Parts 370-374, 376 will be held as follows:

Date: Monday, August 19, 2019
Time: 1:00 p.m.
Location: NYS DEC Headquarters
625 Broadway, Room 129
Albany, NY

Prior to the hearing, a public availability session will also be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the same location.

This location is accessible to persons with impaired mobility. Interpreter services will be made available to the hearing impaired, at no charge, upon written request at least five business days prior to the date of the hearing. Please address requests to Michelle Ching, NYS DEC - Division of Materials Management, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-8651.

NYS DEC invites all persons, organizations, corporations and governmental agencies to attend the hearing and submit either written or oral statements. At the hearing, persons who wish to make a statement will be invited to speak. It is requested that oral statements also be submitted in writing. NYS DEC will give equal weight to written and oral statements. Since a cumulative record will be compiled, it is not required for interested parties to attend the hearing.
