Project Description:

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) has prepared a draft permit and has made a tentative determination to issue a renewal to State Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems permit NY0128210, pursuant to 750-2.1(i) and 1.16(a).

The facility discharges treated sewage via Outfall 001 to Conewango Creek, a class C water. Treatment at the facility consists of four lagoons in series, chlorine contact tank, and two septic tanks in series.

DEC proposes to incorporate the following modifications to this permit: Disinfection season has been expanded to cover May 1 - Oct 31. The permit includes updated forms and the latest general conditions.

As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify Department approval for or endorsement of an activity for which a permit is sought.

The permittee will have 18 months to complete construction and commence operation of the de-chlorination system, and comply with the final effluent limitations for TRC.

Project Description:

The Department has made a tentative determination to approve an application for a transmission line refurbishment and reconductoring project that will impact NYS Freshwater Wetlands; TE-3, TE-11, LP-8, and LP-19 in the Town of Lockport, TE-31 in the Town of Pendleton, and TE-11 in the Town of Pendleton and City of North Tonawanda, and their regulated 100-foot adjacent areas. The project, which includes permanent access road construction, temporary access roads, temporary work pads, and permanent structure replacement will temporarily impact approximately 5.3 acres of wetland and approximately 2.34 acres of regulated 100-foot adjacent areas, and will permanently impact .0011 acres of wetland LP-8.

As a tentative determination, the Department is seeking comments on the proposed regulatory activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this determination does not signify Department approval for or endorsement of an activity for which a permit is sought.
