Project Title: NYS DOT

Location: NYS Route 28 in the Towns of Inlet, Arietta, Long Lake and Indian Lake, New York.

Project Description: The project involves road improvements along a 25.4 ± mile long section of NYS Route 28, including, repaving, correcting safety deficiencies, culvert replacements, parking area improvements, signage including chevrons at several sharp curves in the highway, replacement of several utility poles with taller poles, waste disposal and 41,000 ± feet of new and replacement galvanized box beam guiderail. There will be temporary and permanent impacts to wetlands at most of the replacement culverts; however, there will be no more than 300 square feet of permanent wetland impact at any individual culvert. The project will involve minor tree cutting on adjoining state land under the jurisdiction of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) for which a Temporary Revocable Permit has been issued.
