Project Description:
Applicant proposes to expand current permitted dock to extend two existing northern piers by 110 feet and 88 feet respectively, and add 11 finger piers to the southern-most pier to create ten new boat mooring slips. Applicant also proposes to construct a new office building and repair garage. The project is located at the Oakdale Yacht Club at 520 Shore Drive, Oakdale, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, SCTM #500-402-5-6, 7 & 8.

Project is a Type II action and not subject to further SEQR review.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated.

Additional Regulatory Provisions:
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The application type is exempt or the project involves the continuation of an existing operational activity.

Coastal Zone Management: This project is located in a Coastal Management Area and, therefore, is subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Legislative Public Hearing:
A legislative public hearing will be held before Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Molly McBride to receive unsworn statements from the public at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Ancient Order of Hibernians in America, Inc., Division Seven, Our Lady of Knock, 65 Champlin Avenue, East Islip, New York 11730. All persons, organizations, corporations, or government agencies who may be affected by the proposed project are invited to attend the hearing and to submit oral or written comments on the proposed project. It is not necessary to file in advance to speak at the hearing. The ALJ may limit the time available for oral comments to 3 minutes per person to ensure that all persons have an opportunity to be heard. Lengthy comments should be submitted in writing. Written comments may also be filed at the hearing or submitted to the DEC contact person as indicated below. Equal weight will be given to both oral and written statements.

The hearing location is fully accessible to persons with a mobility impairment. Interpreter services shall be made available, at no charge, upon written request to the ALJ identified above at least ten (10) business days prior to the hearing. Any interested person may submit comments on the proposed project in writing at the hearing, and to the DEC Contact Person listed below by May 29, 2018.
