Data Description

Instructions
The following files are available for downloading. From 1980 through October 2006, generic fixed-length text files are available for public use. The text files have two different structures, as defined in files Layout8089.txt (for years 1980 - 1989) and Layout9006.txt (for years 1990 - 2006).
In the fall of 2006 a new manifest data system was put into production. This new system was created due to changes on the newly designed federal hazardous waste manifest form. This new form had some old data fields removed and some new data fields added. The new manifest data files reflect these changes. This new system has a new file format for creating manifest data files, as well as new mailing address and locational address files. The new file format is csv (comma separated value). This new file type has commas between all data fields in the file. Additionally, this new file format incorporates the field name (column headers) as the file's first record, negating the need for a separate "layout" file.
To download a file, right click it, then left click "save target as", and then save the file to your hard drive.
