Recycling for Businesses
Today's businesses have a lot of opportunities to help the environment and save money at the same time. By following some useful tips that the Department of Environmental Conservation (Department) provided, businesses can reduce waste at several steps of production such as minimize and recycle packaging, use both sides of paper for printing, set printer to the draft setting for non-official printing, recycle office paper, etc.
Solid waste management facilities can be certified by this Department if waste is being beneficially used. Once the facility is certified, the material will no longer be considered solid waste and thus be exempted from being governed by the regulations concerning solid waste handling and management.
