NEW YEAR’S FIRST DAY HIKES
Happy New Year! Start the year on the right foot with some outdoor fun. We’ll watch for signs of wildlife as we stretch our legs and clear our heads on two easy-paced guided walks for all ages. The morning walk will cover about three-quarters of a mile, while the afternoon walk will cover about 2 miles. Dress for the weather. Space is limited for both guided walks. Call 518-475-0291 by Tuesday, December 29, to register. In the event of severe weather, these programs may be canceled.
For the safety of our visitors, staff and volunteers, and in compliance with guidance from New York State, the New York State Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), social distancing practices must be followed. Masks must be worn throughout guided programs, while at a roving program, and on the trails whenever a 6-foot distance cannot be maintained between individuals or households.

Family Fun: Outdoor Explorers
How do you tell a dogwood tree in winter? By its bark! Come enjoy learning about and identify five trees at Five Rivers. Get to know them and what they are doing during the cold months of the year, and hopefully return in the other seasons to visit them.
