Project WILD—updated in 2018—is an award-winning program to help teachers use wildlife to teach a variety of subjects. Plan an outdoor field day using these activities and create materials for your program. Participants receive a guide with more than 100 lesson plans.

$10 materials fee. For teachers of students in grades K-8.

Kick-off the spring season with a day of fishing for the whole family - Belmont Lake will be stocked with over 3,000 trout for this event! Children’s activities include games, environmental exhibits, and a fun casting contest. Prizes can be won!

Cost: $8 parking fee; free with Empire Pass

All events are FREE, though some may have a fee for vehicle parking. No pre-registration is necessary unless noted. I FISH NY provides loaner rods and free bait at every event, though you are welcome to bring own equipment.

No Freshwater Fishing License nor Saltwater Registry are required during the hours of these events.

All events are weather dependent and will not have a rain date.
Some accessible-need fishing equipment is available upon request.

Note that the events at environmental education centers will only display in the region in which they are located, even though they serve residents from adjacent areas.
