The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) is pursuing a renewal and modification to the State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit (SPDES) NY0002275 pursuant to 6NYCRR Part 750-1.18, NYS DEC's Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy. A Notice of Complete Application was published in the Environmental Notice Bulletin on April 18, 2018, with the public comment period ending on April 30, 2018. The public comment period will be extended until October 31, 2018.

Written comments must be submitted to the contact listed above by close of business October 31, 2018.

DEC invites the public to comment about a proposed remedy to address contamination related to the Willetts Creek and Lake Capri portions of the Dzus Fastener Site (West Islip, Suffolk County), within New York's State Superfund Program. Public comments about the proposal will be accepted through October 31, 2018.
