The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYS DEC) announces the availability for public review and comment, pursuant to Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) § 3-0301(2)(z), of two guidance documents prepared pursuant to the Community Risk and Resiliency Act (CRRA).

NYS DEC is hosting three public information and comment meetings to provide the public opportunities to learn about and comment on these guidance documents:

Written comments: The public is invited to submit written comments on the draft New York State Flood Risk Management Guidance and Guidance for Smart Growth Public Infrastructure Assessment through August 20, 2018 as follows:

  • By mail to NYS DEC, Office of Climate Change, 625 Broadway, Albany, NY 12233-1030.

NYSDEC will host a public availability session to provide information on a recently completed habitat management plan for Happy Valley Wildlife Management Area (WMA) located in the towns of Albion, Williamstown, Parish, and Amboy, Oswego County.

Come join us to learn about the goals of the plan and future management at this WMA. The meeting will include a presentation and time for questions. An open house will begin at 6:00 and a formal presentation at 6:30.
